Yes! This is very important. If the bottle leaks this will result in a build up of moisture inside the chamber of the Aquasafe unit. This moisture will act as a light filter and thereby potentially greatly reduce the efficiency of the unit and its ability to heat the water to the desired temperature.
Therefore, it should always be ensured that the bottle is completely free from leaks, and it should also always be ensured that there is no moisture in the chamber.
If mositure is observed in the chamber, then stand the unit on end ,open the bottle hatch and let the chamber dry out.
