Can I improve the taste of the water ?
Yes, to some extent.
Water that is treated using using Aqausafe does not suffer from the flat taste of boiled water, or the smell and after taste associated with chlorinated water.
To improve the taste even further you can try filling the bottle three quarters full, screwing on the cap and then shaking the bottle vigourously for one minute. Then unscrew the cap and fill the bottle completely. Then pasteurise the water in the Aquasafe unit.
Why does this make a difference ? Because by shaking the water, it absorbs some of the oxygen in the air. This increased level of oxygen does two things; it increases the ability of the unit to kill bacteria and secondly the water tastes better.
It is important to note that the unit is completely effective even if the above procedure is not followed. So the advice given here is " nice to have", not "need to have " in terms of water safety and public health.
